These seats were designed by Pierre Jeanneret together with his cousin Le Corbusier to furnish the Capitol, the Assembly and the Administrative Secretariat of the city Chandigarh. In 2011, five years before Chandigarh was recognized by Unesco as world heritage, furniture was declared a property of cultural interest.
